This month sees the first in a new series of articles on the great ENID BLYTON, beginning with MALORY TOWERS. Blyton remains as popular as ever, and her school stories, in particular, have seen renewed interest, aided no doubt by the boarding school elements of Harry Potter. Elsewhere in this issue, I continue my memories of The Crypt Grammar School in Gloucester, and life in general during the late 1950s, a Britain that was gentler and nicer in almost every respect.
